The Corporate Director of Sales for Gibson Hotel Management, an entry level above property position. In this role you will be responsible for supporting the VP of Sales and Marketing in executing comprehensive sales strategies that meet and exceed top line revenue goals. This individual will have a minimum of 3-5 years as a multi-site sales manager experience with a proven track record of success. In all areas it is the responsibility of the Corporate Director of Sales to ensure consistency with the execution of brand sales and marketing programs throughout the portfolio. As part of our sales leadership team, the Corporate Director of Sales must be committed to growing and inspiring a team of on-property Sales Directors, driving success, accountability, and reward for achieving topline results.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate closely with the hotel Revenue Management team, General Manager, and Hotel sales team to align sales efforts with overall business objectives
• Analyze sales data and STR reports to assess performance, identify areas for improvement, and make data driven decisions.
• Establish strong relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies and other key partners to expand the customer base and drive repeat business.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and brand standards related to sales operations and guest services.
• Represent the organization at industry events, trade shows and networking opportunities to promote brand awareness and enhance market presence.
• Complete weekly sales reports accurately and timely
• Effectively conduct market research, market segment tracking, and competition analysis
• Assist in establishing 30-60-90 day action plans with General Manager and sales team accurately and in a timely manner.
• Assisting the VP of Sales and Marketing in the development of the learning and training curriculum for the hotel sales team
• Execute key projects as needed to support company goals and objectives
• Conduct on-site hotel visits in conjunction with the priorities set by the company.
• Meet with the General Manager to outline the objectives of each visit, and expectations for follow-up.
• Work with the Director of Sales and Marketing to create and monitor sales and marketing plans to drive market share according to local market demand.
• Manage in conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing, sales and marketing expenses including the annual expense budget and determining ROI on all investments
• Perform training and coaching to include reinforcing and guiding hotel Sales Directors on sales acumen and process. Mentor, coach and train Directors of Sales and Marketing on the proper way to improve key metrics to support revenue
• Responsible for allocating temporary hotel sales management coverage in the case of long-term absence of a Director of Sales and Marketing. Direction of task force sales resources, Internal and external.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
